The Faculty of Industrial Education and Science was the former name of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. In order to establish King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) as a center of excellence in education, the departments of Science, Languages, Humanities, and Social Sciences were relocated from the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Science to form this new faculty, approved by the Ministry of University Affairs on November 10th, 1977, with the aim of producing vocational teachers for various vocational and technical colleges and to teach general education subjects in every faculty in KMITL.
